Most of North Indian brides wear red, it means fertility and prosperity. It's just a traditional color. Many women use other colors or combinations of colors for their weddings.
South Indians use different colors, such as Kerala (white gold).
After Red Indian culture is synonymous with prosperity, wealth. In fact, red sari was used by North Indian wedding.
